Shimla, Feb 14 (Reporter) Ending all speculations BJP on Wednesday made a big move in state politics by shifting Party president JP Nadda from Himachal Pradesh to Gujarat for Rajya Sabha biennial election.
A notification issued by the party said Naddda would be the party's candidate for the Rajya Sabha seat from Gujarat.
The announcement also ended the speculations that the party may field Nadda from Kangra and Hamirpur in the incoming Lok Sabha poll.
Political observers said by moving Nadda to Gujarat, the BJP may be hoping to reduce his influence in Himachal Pradesh and pave the way for Anurag Thakur to become the Chief Minister of the state after the next assembly elections.
In addition to Nadda, the Central Election Committee of the BJP has approved the names of Govindbhai Dholakia, Mayankbhai Nayak, and Dr Jashwantsingh Salamsingh Parmar for Rajya Sabha election from Gujarat and Ashok Chavan ,Mrs. Medha Kulkarni and Dr. Ajit Gopachade from Maharashtra...////...
