New Delhi, Sep 25 (Reporter) Launching a scathing attack against the BJP, Delhi's ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday claimed that the BJP is conspiring to remove the statue of Rani Lakshmibai near the RSS office in Delhi. Addressing the media, Aam Aadmi Party senior leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh said, “We will raise this issue in every corner during the Haryana elections, stating that disrespecting patriots is treason and that this treachery is openly being carried out by the BJP in Delhi.” “A statue of Rani Lakshmibai is installed near the RSS office. The RSS and BJP cannot tolerate that a statue of Rani Lakshmibai, who sacrificed for the country, stands there. They are trying to conspire to remove her statue," he claimed, adding "I want to warn the BJP that disrespecting patriots is an act of treason and betrayal against the nation". “The history of BJP's treachery is known to the entire country. They have betrayed our freedom fighters and the nation,” Singh said. “After achieving independence, they betrayed the country by not flying the Tricolour at the RSS headquarters for 53 years. Now they have removed the statues of our great leaders from Parliament, and now they are planning to remove Rani Lakshmibai's statue in Delhi,” he said. “The BJP will tell the people which statues to put up. Should we put up statues of those who betrayed the country,” he questioned, adding that if the statue of Rani Lakshmibai is removed from near the RSS office, the AAP will expose the BJP throughout Delhi. "We will also spread this issue to every citizen in Haryana. This act by the BJP is a heinous crime and treason". “People from all over the country used to visit and pay their respects to the statues of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Ambedkar, and Shivaji Maharaj in Parliament. But they have removed the statues of these great figures,” he alleged...////...
