New Delhi, Jan 18 (Reporter) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) following an alleged assault on its national convenor, Arvind Kejriwal, accusing the BJP of orchestrating the attack out of fear of losing the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Senior AAP leader Manish Sisodia said, "The BJP is a party of cowardly individuals who are rattled. They lack the courage to challenge Arvind Kejriwal’s work, so they resorted to attacking him using their goons. No politics can stoop lower than what the BJP is engaging in. The people of Delhi will now give a fitting reply to this act.” Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, in a post on X, said, "The BJP has already turned Delhi into the gangster capital, and now they want to bring jungle raj during the elections? Losing the elections, so they’ve resorted to attacking Arvind Kejriwal? This stone-pelting shows BJP’s desperation. Every time you indulge in abuse and hooliganism, AAP will receive even more love and votes from the people of Delhi." AAP’s chief spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar highlighted that the Ministry of Home Affairs recently acknowledged that Arvind Kejriwal continues to face threats but did not specify the source. She alleged, "BJP’s goons once again orchestrated an attack on Kejriwal with stones while he was campaigning in the New Delhi constituency. Video evidence of the incident is publicly available. Such incidents have never occurred in the New Delhi constituency before. This is a peaceful constituency where many high-profile individuals and officials reside. This attack is highly condemnable. The BJP is once again stooping to such acts." Ms. Kakkar further alleged that the BJP does not want peaceful elections in the New Delhi constituency. "The Election Commission is turning a blind eye. They cannot see the misdeeds of Parvesh Verma. As Verma is losing ground, he is resorting to such actions and violence. This behavior deserves the strongest condemnation,” she added...////...
