Lucknow, Mar 24 (Reporter) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government has ruined Uttar Pradesh in the last eight years. In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, "Today, there are questions everywhere in Uttar Pradesh. Sisters, daughters, and women are not safe. Injustice and atrocities are at their peak. BJP has turned UP into a jungle raj in eight years. Incidents of murder, loot, and rape are rising continuously." He said that the eight years of the BJP government was an unprecedented betrayal. "In eight years, the public has got nothing under the BJP government. There is tremendous corruption in the state. There is a flood of loot and crime," he alleged. The SP chief said that UP has become an empire of criminals. "Anarchic and antisocial elements have made life hell for the people. The entire state is trembling due to rapes and murders of girls. A woman was looted, raped, and murdered in Lucknow. People are in panic due to this incident," he said. He said that a horrific picture has come in which a young girl was hanged on a tree after her hands were tied and then murdered in Rasra, Ballia, which is extremely painful and sad. "The way the BJP government is standing with its hands tied in the matter of oppression and crime. This audacity of the criminals is the result of that. Women and girls are constantly being insulted in the state. Still, the BJP leadership has the audacity," he said. Akhilesh said that the BJP has destroyed the democratic system. "Law and order in the state has become a dream. Farmers are in a financial crisis. The claim of investment is hollow," he said. He said that the sisters and daughters are neither safe in the capital Lucknow nor in any other district of the state. "Officers and BJP leaders are looting UP together. BJP leaders are occupying lands everywhere. They are doing wrong deeds and injustice by putting pressure on the police administration," he said. The SP Chief said that the public is in distress, and every section is troubled by inflation and unemployment. "The BJP government's claim of zero tolerance on corruption, law and order, and women's safety is nonsense. Criminals and bullies are wreaking havoc on the poor. No one is getting justice. They are destroying their houses and occupying their lands," he said. He said that health and education services have completely collapsed. "Medicines and treatment are not available in hospitals. There is not enough staff in medical colleges. The BJP has ruined educational institutions. BJP government has pushed the youth into the darkness of unemployment," he said. Akhilesh said that educated youth are roaming around idle in every village, they have no work. "There is discrimination in every field of employment. Can't the Chief Minister shirk responsibility for this situation in UP? The BJP government should not think that the people of the state are helpless, it is just waiting for the right time," he said...////...
