Lucknow, Apr 6 (Reporter) Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday said that the controversy in Sitapur over the removal of statues of great men like Mahatma Buddha and Babasaheb is pointing towards a big political conspiracy.
In a statement issued here, Akhilesh said, "Everyone knows who those are on whose orders the administration is making such attacks. The awareness of the oppressed and deprived society is emerging as a new consciousness, the life of these conspiracies is not very long now."
He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is conspiratorial. "BJP spreads hatred in the society. It spoils social harmony. BJP is against PDA. BJP has snatched every honour and reservation of PDA. BJP people are scared of the unity of PDA," he said.
The SP chief said, "A conspiracy is being hatched against PDA in the BJP government. SP is ready to fight the opponents of Babasaheb along with PDA at every level. SP is fully committed to social harmony, constitution, and democracy."
He said that the BJP government has failed on every front. "Inflation, unemployment, and corruption are at their peak. Farmers, youth, businessmen, women, all are suffering from the wrong policies of this government. The BJP government made false promises to farmers, youth, everyone," he said.
Akhilesh said that the income of farmers has not doubled. "The cost of farming has increased due to rising inflation. The BJP government has cheated the farmers. Sugar mills owe thousands of crores of rupees to farmers. Government purchase of wheat is not happening. Middlemen and big companies are looting farmers by buying their crops at very low prices. The government is in collusion with them," he alleged...////...
