Lucknow, July 2 (Reporter) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate for the Legislative Council byelection Bahoran Lal Maurya filed his nomination papers on the last day of filing nominations on Tuesday. The BJP had announced Maurya as its candidate on Monday for the Legislative Council elections. The tenure for this seat will extend until July 2028. The seat fell vacant following the resignation of sitting member Swami Prasad Maurya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was present on the occasion, expressed confidence that Bahoran Lal Maurya will win the election, reach the Legislative Council, and effectively address the issues of the common people.
