Bihar: NIA DSP In police remand in bribery case

Patna, Oct 5 (Reporter) The special CBI court sent a Deputy Superintendent of Police of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and two others on four-day police remand on Saturday for their interrogation in connection with a bribery case. The special court had sent NIA DSP Ajay Pratap Singh and his two agents namely Himanshu Singh and Deepu Singh to jail on Friday after the CBI produced them before the court in connection with the case. The CBI, while producing the accused, had prayed for police remand for their interrogation. As per the charges the accused had demanded bribes from the owner of a construction company in lieu of helping him in an ongoing case. The CBI had lodged a case on the complaint filed by the owner of the company and arrested all three accused from Gaya district when they were taking bribes of Rs 20 lakh...////...
