New Delhi Apr 16 (Reporter) Bihar's Vikassheel Swaraj Party leader Prem Kumar Choudhary and renowned ophthalmologist Manish Kumar Yadav on Tuesday joined the Indian National Congress at the AICC headquarters here. Both the leaders took membership of the Congress in the presence of Bihar Congress in-charge Mohan Prakash and Pradesh Congress President Akhilesh Prasad Singh. Addressing a press conference, Prem Kumar Choudhary said that besides joining the grand old party, he was also merging his party with Congress. He said, “I assure you that we will work for the Congress with full strength. Under the leadership of our President Mallikarjun Kharge and our leader Rahul Gandhi, we will live up to the expectations of the party”. Choudhary is considered to have considerable influence in 10 districts of Bihar and mainly the Nishad community. Bihar Congress leader Akhilesh Pratap Singh said that the fishermen community was fully with the INDIA Alliance. The joining of Choudhary will further strengthen the party.
