Patna, Mar 21 (Reporter) Leader of opposition in Bihar assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of insulting the National Anthem during an event and demanded an apology from him for this. Yadav told news persons here on Friday that every Bihari was ashamed of the conduct of the Chief Minister who has brought shame to the citizens. Yadav said that how Kumar acted was unfortunate and demanded an apology from him. Yadav said even after personally having great respect for Kumar, he cannot remain silent on the issue of insult to the National anthem. The RJD leader said it was the first incident in the annals of the country and added that it seemed the Chief Minister was actually in an unconscious state. Meanwhile, JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar retorted sharply at the reaction of Yadav and reminded him of being the son of a convicted person. Kumar said that Yadav himself was an accused of IPC 420. Speaking in favour of Nitish Kumar, the JDU leader said that Kumar was a personality who allowed the Dalits to carry the National flag in their hands and asked Yadav to refrain from making personal comments about Kumar. Meanwhile, Tejaswi Yadav shared the video on his social media account X . In his post, Yadav slammed Kumar for insulting Bihar and questioned his mental stability which he claimed to be a matter of great concern. Reminding Kumar that he was the Chief Minister of the largest state, Yadav said that he was not stable physically or mentally even for a few seconds and that his continuous coveted position in such a state was a matter of grave concern. RJD supremo and former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has also shared the video on social media saying that the country will not stand the insult of the National anthem. RJD MLA Tej Pratap Yadav commenting on the incident urged Kumar not to insult the national anthem. He said that sometimes Kumar claps on Mahatma Gandhi's martyrdom day and mocks his martyrdom,and sometimes he claps on the National anthem! He reminded Kumar that he was the Chief Minister of a big state and asked him not to insult Bihar again and again. Meanwhile, Union Minister and HAM leader Jitan Ram Manjhi alleged that those who were insulting the country including Bihar were raising fingers at Kumar. Manjhi alleged that Lalu and his company abused Bihar and added that it was Kumar who gave respect to the state on the international platform. Kumar was facing the opposition's ire when his video went vital in which he was seen laughing and talking while the National anthem was being played at an international sports event in Patna on Thursday. The video showed the CM confused at first and then talking during the National anthem to his Principal Secretary and retired IAS officer Deepak Kumar. As he touched Deepak's arm talking and laughing, the latter asked him to stay still. Nitish then looks at someone in public and folds his hands towards them. Even before the National anthem was played after a formal announcement, the CM abruptly left the dais only to be brought back by officials...////...
