Kolkata, Jan 30 (Reporter) A dominant performance by the batsmen put Bengal Under-23 team in a commanding position at the end of the third and penultimate day's play against Bihar in the Col C K Nayudu Trophy at the BCA Ground, Kalyani, on Tuesday.
Chasing a massive 352 runs to win, Bihar, in their second innings,
were 7 for no loss at stumps on Day 3.
Earlier, resuming the day from overnight score of 31/1, Bengal, in
their second innings, managed to post 270/9 declared to hand a
challenging target to the visitors.
Mohit Roy (74), Deepak Mahato (55), Vaibhav Yadav (51) and Rohit Kumar
(44) were impressive with the bat for the home side.
For Bihar, Vasudev Prasad Singh was the pick of the bowlers bagging 3 for 65.
Earlier, after posting 261 in their first innings, Bengal bundled out
Bihar for just 180 to grab a big first-innings lead...////...
