Kolkata, May 15 (Reporter) Thousands of dismissed teachers, on Thursday, laid siege to Bikash Bhavan, the West Bengal Education Department headquarters, at New Town, demanding their reinstatement even as RAF and Armed Policemen were seen guarding all four entry gates, official sources said. The teachers protesting in front of Bikash Bhavan refused to vacate the site and scuffled with the security personnel. The teachers under the banner of Jogya Shikshak Shikshika Adhikar Mancha (JSSAM) have been protesting against their job losses with a sit-in since May 7 outside Bikash Bhavan.
