Kolkata/Siliguri, July 31 (Reporter) West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday expressed concern over the recurrence of train accidents, the latest was the derailment of two wagons of a goods train at Rangapani station in Darjeeling district, near the NJP junction of Northeast Frontier
Railway (NFR).
There had been no report of any casualty but immediate impact of the derailment was disruption of train services on the section, sources said.
The derailment happened around 11 am at Rangapani where 10 people died an 55 injured on June 17 after a goods train rammed against the Sealdah bound Kanchanjunga Express, which was coming from Agartala.
"Another rail accident today, in the same Phansidewa/ Rangapani area in North Bengal, where there was a most tragic accident just six weeks back! We are very concerned about what is happening,"
Bengal CM said on her X Handle.
Two wagons of a goods train (oil tankers) jumped off the rails...////...
