BEML bags two major deals in MP, Chattisgarh

Kolkata, May 12 (Reporter) Heavy equipment maker BEML is all set to expand its manufacturing capabilities by acquiring 148 acres of land in Madhya Pradesh, the Bengaluru -headquartered Central Public Sector Undertaking said in a regulatory filing on Monday. The Madhya Pradesh government has already sanctioned 60.063 hectares (approximately 148 acres) of land in Umeria, Raisen district, for the company. BEML plans to utilise the land for constructing locomotives, freight and cars for the on-going metro project in the state and for the railways. BEML has bagged another approval from the Chhattisgarh Cabinet to build a massive facility on 100 acres of land at Janjgir, Champa district, to construct a high-end manufacturing facility for heavy earth-moving equipment. These two major deals will help BEML multiply its revenue in the coming years and will also contribute to the nation's overall economy...////...
