Srinagar, Nov 12 (Reporter) A lady who was critically injured in a grenade attack in Srinagar's busy market on November 3 succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday morning, officials said.
Aabida , 39, a resident of Naidkhai Sumbal, in Bandipora district of north Kashmir was critically wounded in a grenade attack at the crowded “Sunday market” in Srinagar on November 3, that also left 11 local shoppers and vendors injured. Besides Aabida, 50-year- old Habibullah Rather of Kaloosa Bandipora was also critically wounded in the attack
“Aabida remained under treatment in the SMHS hospital all these days and succumbed to her injuries this morning,” said a senior official.
Aabida, a house maker is survived by her husband, a school teacher and three children who are students in lower primary classes.
J&K police last week claimed that it solved the grenade attack case.
On November 8, J&K police announced that it arrested three accused associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba who were responsible for the attack. The three arrested were identified by police as Osama Yasin Sheikh, Umar Fayaz Sheikh and Afnan Mansoor Sheikh, all residents of Ikhraj Pora Srinagar.
Police investigations found that the accused were acting under the direction of two terrorist handlers of Pakistan based proscribed LeT...////...
