Bengaluru, April 7 (Reporter) Bengaluru witnessed a groundbreaking event as Bagggel Foundation, a Bengaluru-based not-for-profit organisation, hosted its inaugural conference under the theme "Women Being CEO Ready." The event, aimed at empowering women to aspire for top leadership positions in corporate settings, drew participation from 130 senior women leaders from various industries. Bagggel Foundation Founder Supria Dhanda on Saturday highlighted the significance of the conference in encouraging women to step up for CEO roles when opportunities arise. While women are increasingly occupying leadership positions in enabling functions, there remains a gap in their representation at the CEO level. The conference marked the beginning of an annual tradition where 100-150 Women CEOs and Board Members from top companies are expected to participate, fostering a culture of women leadership in corporate India. Bagggel Foundation is driving the mission through three key programs - Being CEO Ready - A comprehensive 6-month program designed to equip women with the skills and mindset necessary for CEO roles. Notably, the program includes partnerships with NGOs, providing participants with opportunities to mentor and support NGOs while gaining valuable leadership experiences. The Leaders Network - An exclusive membership-based network offering benefits such as master classes, mentoring, networking opportunities, and collaboration with NGOs, allowing members to pay it forward while enhancing their leadership skills. Being CEO Ready Conference - An annual event aimed at inspiring and empowering women to pursue CEO positions, featuring insights from accomplished women leaders and industry experts. Dhanda stated the foundation's commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), with plans to become CSR-ready within the next 18 months. Funding for Bagggel Foundation comes from self-funding initiatives, donations from members, and sponsorships from organisations such as ABS India, which supported the inaugural conference.
