Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the esteemed President of the Indian Constituent Assembly, was a towering and multifaceted personality. He was a staunch advocate of social unity and harmony. Dr. Yadav emphasized that Dr. Ambedkar was not just a leader of the Dalit community but a guiding light for all sections of society. He also acknowledged the significant support extended by King Jiwaji Rao Scindia of Gwalior and Maharaja Gaekwad of Baroda in advancing Dr. Ambedkar’s work and vision. Recalling a personal aspect of his legacy, Dr. Yadav noted that Dr. Ambedkar received his surname from his teacher—a name he honored throughout his life and elevated through his achievements.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav was addressing the District Seminar of the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samman Abhiyan at Ravindra Natya Griha, Indore, on Tuesday. The program witnessed the presence of several prominent dignitaries, including former Rajasthan Chief Minister Smt. Vasundhara Raje, Urban Administration and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Rajya Sabha MP Sushri Kavita Patidar, and former Rajya Sabha member Shri Narayan Singh Kesari.Also present were Indore Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava; MLAs Shri Mahendra Hardia, Shri Ramesh Mendola, and Smt. Malini Gaud; former Mayor Shri Krishnamurari Moghe; Chairman of the Safai Kamgar Commission Shri Pratap Karosia; Chairman of the Scheduled Caste Finance Development Corporation Shri Sawan Sonkar; along with Shri Sumit Mishra, Shri Raghavendra Gautam, and Dr. Nishant Khare.
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that both the Central and State governments are actively working to bring the legacy and contributions of Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar to the masses. He highlighted that the government has developed key locations associated with Dr. Ambedkar’s life—including his birthplace, educational institutions, and other significant sites—as places of pilgrimage, honoring his enduring impact on the nation.
