Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to bring about various far-reaching positive and negative social impacts. He highlighted that just as the blessings and curses of science were once discussed during school days, and similar questions were raised about employment during the early days of the computer and internet revolution, today, a wide range of perspectives are emerging about AI as well. As a result, this cutting-edge technology is being viewed both as a blessing and a potential crisis.
Expressing optimism, Dr. Yadav said that AI will ultimately bring positive, long-term societal benefits. He congratulated the Deendayal Research Institute for organizing a seminar on such an important and thought-provoking subject.
The Chief Minister was addressing the inaugural session of the seminar on "The Social Impact of Artificial Intelligence", organized on Saturday by the Deendayal Upadhyaya Research Institute in New Delhi.
During his address, Dr. Yadav noted that the introduction of AI has sparked concerns about job displacement—much like the fears that arose during the advent of computers. However, just as new jobs were created then, today, AI is also creating new employment opportunities while transforming existing roles.
