Solan, Jun 1 (Reporter) An estimated 67.44 per cent of total electorates cast their votes in all five constituencies of the district till 1700 hours on Saturday. The highest poll percentage of 72.58 was recorded in Kasauli assembly segment of Shimla parliamentary constituency, followed by Doon-69.81 pc, Nalagarh-67.44 pc, Solan-65.91 pc and Arki-64.23 pc. The polling across the district went on a brisk note in afternoon when female voters turned out in large numbers after completing their household chores. Interestingly, 96-year-old Puran Dutt Awasthy exercised his franchise first at Kandhar polling station in Arki assembly segment. Similarly, 92-year-old Dwarki Devi cast her vote at Bohali polling station in Kasauli constituency and 87-year-old Sita Devi also cast her vote at polling station Patta-Mehlog in Doon assembly segment.
