Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav Chaired the meeting of the Council of Ministers (Cabinet) held on Tuesday at Mantralaya. The Cabinet approved consultancy fees for the preparation of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) of the Ujjain–Indore–Pithampur Metro Rail Project. In the first phase, the line will cover Shri Mahakaleshwar Ujjain to Luv Kush Square, Indore, and in the second phase, it will extend from Luv Kush Square to Pithampur. The consultancy work has been entrusted to Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited at the rate of Rs. 9 lakh per km (plus GST).
The Cabinet also approved the purchase of 25,000 tablets worth Rs. 75 crore for the ‘E-Vivechana App’, under the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) project. This will ensure its continuous implementation and operation over five years (2021–22 to 2025–26) with an approved cost of Rs. 102.88 crore. With this sanction, the total cost of the revised/expanded CCTNS scheme stands at Rs. 177.87 crore. It is noteworthy that the CCTNS project has been operational in all police stations of Madhya Pradesh since 2012. In the new phase, all investigating officers will be provided with electronic tablets to enable on-the-spot documentation and procedures through the specially designed E-Vivechana App. In the first phase, 1,732 tablets had already been procured.
