Vijayawada / Gandhinagar, Sep 16 (Reporter) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on Monday
announced at the Renewable Investment Meet held at Gandhinagar in Gujarat that the state government will
soon bring in the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Clean Energy Policy-2024 with the sole aim of generating 72.60
gigawatts of power by the year 2030.
Addressing the most prestigious Fourth Global Renewable Energy Investment Summit inaugurated by Prime
Minister Narendra Modi in Gandhinagar in Gujarat, the Chief Minister said that green energy is certainly going
to be a game changer and by 2030, Andhra Pradesh's target is to generate 72.60 gigawatts of renewable
energy.
He expressed confidence that the world is going to witness a green energy revolution, and the country should
lead this.
Announcing that Global University will soon be established in Andhra Pradesh to achieve the goal of clean
energy, the Chief Minister gave a presentation on the views of the state government on the renewable sector.
He explained in detail to the investors on the policies being adopted by the state government to this effect.
The Chief Minister told the industrialists that Andhra Pradesh has a lot of opportunities for renewable energy
investments and invited them to invest in the state.
The state government has set a target of generating solar power at 10 lakh houses through the Pradhana
Mantri Surya Ghar Muft Bijili scheme and the government buildings too will be transformed into solar power
generating centres.
Mentioning that the P-3 system was implemented earlier, Chandrababu Naidu said that now "we are going to
introduce the P-4 system."
The Chief Minister also announced some incentives to those who come forward to manufacture the necessary
infrastructure for this renewable energy.
The Special Chief Secretary (Energy), K Vijayanand, received an award from the Union Minister Prahlad Josi
for establishing a Solar Park at Anantapur.
Minister for Energy, Mr Gottipati Ravi Kumar, and other officials of the department participated in the summit...////...
