Visakhapatnam, Jan 2 (Reporter) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation for the Green Hydrogen Project a joint venture of NTPC Green Energy Limited and NREDCAP. in Anakapalli near here on January 8. NTPC Simhadri power plant is setting up a 1 TPD seawater-to-green hydrogen plant in the Parawada area near Visakhapatnam. For seawater processing, NTPC has implemented an innovative, low-carbon desalination plant utilizing waste heat from the thermal power plant flue gas, enabling low-cost conversion of seawater into hydrogen-grade water. The PM is scheduled to arrive at Visakhapatnam Airport at 3 PM. From there he will directly go to Andhra University (AU) Engineering College grounds, where he will address a public meeting after laying the foundation stone for the Green Hydrogen Project, a joint venture of NTPC Green Energy Limited and NREDCAP.
