Anantapur, AP, Mar 2 (Reporter) In a tragic road accident, three women siblings and a three-month-old infant were killed and three others were injured when the auto rickshaw in which they were travelling was collided by a car at Kammuru village in Kuderu mandal on Sunday.
Police said that one of the deceased Saraswati (32) gave birth to a baby girl three months ago. She, along with her infant daughter Vidyasri, accompanied by her two elder sisters Leelavathi (42) and Yegeswari (40) ,was going to her mother-in-law’s house Rayampalli in Uravakonda mandal from her parents' house when the mishap took place. All the four deceased, including the infant, were killed instantaneously.
The car was going to Anantapur from Uravakonda and the ill-fated auto rickshaw was going towards Uravakonda. The car, while overtaking an RTC bus, collided with the auto rickshaw. The auto rickshaw driver and two students were critically injured in the accident and they were admitted to the GGH.
Heart wrenching scenes were witnessed at the GGH here with grieving family members inconsolably as three sisters and an infant were killed. The accident created a great tragedy in three families. The Kuderu police registered a case, removed the two vehicles from the road and cleared the traffic...////...
