Bilaspur (HP), July 30 (Reporter) Senior BJP leader and former Union Information Minister Anurag Thakur on Tuesday dubbed the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh as anti-people and said that its decision to shut down Him Care health insurance scheme, which allowed people to avail treatment in private hospitals, was another example of this.
In a statement issued here, Thakur said, “The current Congress government has proved to be the most corrupt, confused and lazy government in the history of Himachal. This 19-month-old government has no achievements of its own and by putting a lock on the good works of the BJP, the Congress is playing with the interests of the public.”
“In 2019, during its tenure in government, the BJP started the Him Care scheme in Himachal to provide cashless treatment to the people who were left out of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which was benefiting lakhs of people,” he said.
The facility of getting treatment in private hospitals in case of not getting good treatment in government hospitals was a boon for the public, but the Congress government has taken a tyrannical decision to close the Him Care scheme, Thakur said.
He said, “Whenever Congress comes to power in Himachal Pradesh, development work comes to a halt, encroachment starts increasing. “
