Srinagar, Oct 20 (Reporter) A counter-infiltration operation is underway along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Baramulla district, officials said on Sunday. Army said that "based on intelligence inputs regarding a likely infiltration bid, a joint anti-infiltration operation was launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police along the LoC in general area Uri. They said alert troops spotted suspicious activity and challenged, which resulted in terrorists opening indiscriminate fire, and the vigilant troops effectively responded and retaliated. However, there was no report of any causality so far.
