Anganwadi workers, Sahayikas and guest teachers can be appointed as special police officers

Anganwadi workers, Sahayikas and guest teachers can be appointed as Special Police Officers (SPOs) to conduct Lok Sabha elections, in the state. Approval to this effect has been granted by the Election Commission of India to the Chief Electoral Officer, Madhya Pradesh on March 28. This approval has been given by the Commission only for this Lok Sabha election.
