Machilipatnam (Andhra) Mar 31 (Reporter) In a ghastly road accident, four persons of a family, including a six-month-old infant, were killed and two others injured when the car in which they were travelling collided with a lorry at Puligadda in Andhra Pradesh on Monday.
CI Yuva Kumar said that a six-member family was going to the Subramanyeswara Swamy temple, located in Mopidevi town from Tenali in a car. The car collided with a lorry at Avanigadda mandal on NH 216 killing Gidugu Ravindra Mohan Babu (55), his wife G Aruna (50), his grandson Satwik (5) and a six-month-old infant. Gidugu Sandeep and Pallavi were injured in the accident and they were admitted to the GGH in Avanigadda.
Ravindra Mohan Babu, Aruna and the infant baby were killed instantaneously while Satiwik succumbed to his injuries in the GGH while undergoing treatment. The family was travellling in their car to hold a naming ceremony for the deceased infant baby boy in the Subramanyeswara temple.
The police registered a case and shifted the bodies to the GGH in Avanigadda for postmortem.
The traffic on the NH 216 disrupted after the accident resulting in a large number of vehicles getting stranded either side of the road. The police cleared the traffic after removing the vehicles...////...
