Chandigarh, May 10 (Reporter) Imprisoned radical preacher 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh on Friday filed his nomination from Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam as an Independent candidate for the Lok Sabha elections from Khadoor Sahib in Punjab. Earlier in the day, the Punjab Government informed Punjab and Haryana High Court that the state has facilitated NSA detainee, Singh, to file his nominations. Two sets of forms and other papers were filled and signed by Singh on May 9. He was also allowed to meet his proposer and advocate. The incarcerated Sikh preacher and pro-Khalistan leader, who was arrested in April 2023 and was sent to Dibrugarh jail under the National Security Act.
