Pune/Mumbai, Jan 9 (Reporter) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal presented the development plans during the review meeting for the construction of a national-level memorial at Phulewada, the residence of Krantisurya Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule in Pune. According to the official press statement issued on Monday night stated that, the monument of great people like Phule couple who did revolutionary work in the field of education and social reforms by planting the moment of female education in the country should be a justice to his work. For this, this inspiring monument should be created with a fine blend of heritage status and modern architecture. Pawar assured that there will be no shortage of funds for the work of the memorial. Pawar presided over this meeting in the Mantralya, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, Chief Secretary Dr. Nitin Karir among all the top brass officials were present. While guiding in the meeting Pawar said that Kranti Jyoti Savitribai Phule started women education in the country. Today, women are seen walking with confidence in all spheres of society, the entire credit goes to Kranti Jyoti Savitribai. Therefore, information about the work of Savitribai, the hardships she endured and the sacrifices she made for women's education should reach the school and college students. The young generation should get guidance and inspiration from it. For this, the proposed memorials should have facilities like a theater providing information about the life work of Phule couple, guidance center for competitive exams like UPSC, MPSC, training center for skill development.
