Chennai, Jan 11 (Reporter) Taking a dig at the Opposition AIADMK members coming to the Assembly clad in black shirts over the Varsity sexual assault row, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin said there was no place for those engaging in'dark politics', especially when they were maintaining silence over Governor's boycott of customary address to the House and not condemning over non-release of funds due to the State by the Centre. Replying to the debate on the motion of thanks to the Governor for his address, he said those indulging in 'dark politics' have no moral right to sport a black shirt as they failed to condone the Centre for neglecting on various issues faced by the State. "I am not angry when the AIADMK members came to the House clad in black shirts. But, I am amused, though at least they sport a black shirt this way". "Wearing black shirts is your right...I am not interfering in it. But my question is whether do you have the guts to sport a black shirt and condemn the Governor's act of disrespecting the Assembly norms and traditions and the members democratically elected by the people". Stating that he would have been happy if the AIADMK, (already severed its ties with the BJP and had walked out of the NDA) had sported a black shirt to condemn the Centre over denial of due funds to the State, including those sought for Cyclone relief. "I would have wholeheartedly appreciated you if you sported a black shirt condemning the Fascist education policy of the BJP government at the Centre seeking to destroy school and college education through National Education Policy and UGC. You stood in support of the BJP all your reign,” Mr Stalin said...////...
