Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the government is committed to ensure water for every farm and employment for every hand. Drawing a parallel to the mythical Paras stone that transforms iron into gold, he emphasized that water has the power to turn barren lands into fertile fields. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, this vision is being realized through numerous irrigation projects aimed at bringing water to every village and farm across the state. Dr. Yadav reflected on the transformative impact such irrigation facilities could have had if implemented 60-70 years ago, significantly altering the agricultural landscape of the country. Highlighting the vital role of the Narmada River, he referred to Maa Narmada as the lifeline of Madhya Pradesh, especially for the people of the Nimar region. Currently, micro-irrigation is being utilized in Barwani district through the canals of the Indira Sagar Project and the Lower Goi Project in the Narmada Valley. To further expand irrigation coverage, the Sendhwa and Niwali Micro Lift Irrigation Projects have been launched, marking another step toward agricultural prosperity.
