New Delhi, May 12 (Reporter) Aam Aadmi Party’s Delhi State Coordinator Gopal Rai and INDIA bloc candidate from New Delhi Lok Sabha constituency Somnath Bharti flagged off a bicycle rally organized by the party’s student wing, CYSS, to garner people’s support under its ‘Jail Ka jawaab Vote se’ campaign on Sunday. Addressing the gathering, Rai emphasized that the party is reaching out to the public through various means to counter the BJP's authoritarianism. “The importance of ending the BJP's authoritarianism is to safeguard the country's democracy and constitution,” he stressed. During the rally, Bharti mentioned that every person in Delhi is now saying that all seven seats will go to the INDI alliance. “The people of Delhi are vocal about the BJP's assault on the constitution and democracy,” Bharti asserted. “The BJP's attempt to imprison CM Kejriwal without evidence indicates their fear of defeat in the upcoming elections. The Supreme Court's intervention regarding the undermining of democracy and the constitution is significant,” he highlighted. “CM Kejriwal's release sends a clear message that there are still institutions concerned about democracy and the constitution.
