6.4-magnitude earthquake hits waters off southeastern Philippines

Manila, June 24 (Reporter) An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.4 hit waters off southeastern Philippines on Tuesday morning, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said. The institute said the quake, which occurred at 09:58 a.m. local time (0158 GMT), hit at a depth of 10 km, about 359 km northeast of Baganga town in Davao Oriental province.
