5 killed in road accident in Indonesia's West Java

Jakarta, Jan 26 (Reporter) Five people were killed and more than 20 were injured due to a single-vehicle road accident in the Indonesian regency of West Bandung in West Java province early Friday, local police said. The accident took place in Cimahi, about 15 km away from Bandung, the provincial capital city, at around 0:30 a.m. local time when a pickup truck carrying 28 people overturned twice after losing control on the road, Cimahi Traffic Police chief Sudirianto told local media. He said that two passengers died at the location, while three others passed away on their way to a nearby hospital. Those injured were already evacuated to nearby hospitals. Sudirianto had ordered an investigation to ascertain the cause of the accident.
