41, 822 houses incomplete: Shrawan

Patna, Mar 12 (Reporter) Bihar Rural Development Minister Shrawan Kumar said that 41822 houses of the scheme launched to provide houses to the homeless people were incomplete. Replying to a question raised by the BJP member Amrendra Pratap Singh during pre lunch sitting in Bihar assembly on Wednesday, Kumar said that the houses under the scheme were constructed by the beneficiary. He said that the government was providing funds for construction of the same and white notice is served to the beneficiary who do not complete the construction on time followed by red notice and certificate case. He said the construction of the houses under the scheme was going in two phases. Replying to the supplementary of Singh, he said that the benefit is given to the dependent in case of death of the beneficiary. He said that the beneficiaries who went outside were being contracted telephonically to complete their houses. In case of any dispute the officer concerned has been instructed to resolve the dispute for early completion of the houses. To a supplementary question raised by Virendra Prasad Gupta, the Minister said that the government provides five decimal land to the landless for construction of the house. In addition to this Rs 1 lakh was also given from a state exchequer to the beneficiary for constructing the houses under the scheme...////...
