Chief Electoral Officer Shri Anupam Rajan has said that the Model Code of Conduct is in force from March 16 for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 in the state. Complaints of violation of Model Code of Conduct are being received from citizens on “C-Vigil App”. From March 16 to May 2, 4 thousand 292 complaints of violation of the code of conduct have been received on the C-Vigil app. All these complaints have been resolved promptly. Shri Rajan said that mostly 513 complaints have been received in Gwalior, 327 in Sagar, 303 in Damoh, 267 in Ujjain, 231 in Morena, 192 in Rajgarh, 182 in Indore, 168 in Rewa, 131 in Katni, 124 in Khargone, 120 in Sehore, 110 in Bhopal, 109 in Chhatarpur, 109 in Narsinghpur, and 105 complaints have been received in Satna district. Similar complaints have been received from other districts of the state also. Shri Rajan has urged the citizens of the state that if they want to make any direct complaint related to violation of Model Code of Conduct in elections, then they can do so through “C-Vigil App”. For this, the concerned citizen will have to go to Google Play Store and download “C-Vigil App”.
