Islamabad, July 28 (Reporter) Pakistan's Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of police have arrested 38 terrorists in Pakistan's eastern Punjab province in July, the police have reported.
A CTD spokesperson said in a statement on Saturday the arrests were made in intelligence-based operations conducted in cities of the province.
"The CTD conducted 449 intelligence-based operations across the province during the month so far," said the spokesperson.
According to the CTD official, the arrested terrorists were members of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the banned Islamic State (IS) group.
In the operations, the police have also seized a large amount of explosives, hand grenades, arms, mobile phones, and foreign and local currency notes, the police official said...////...
