Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the 35th Battalion of the Special Armed Police Force (SAF) in Mandla will be named in honor of Veerangana Rani Durgavati. During the Cabinet meeting held in Singrampur on the occasion of Rani Durgavati's Jayanti, CM Dr. Yadav expressed the privilege of all members to be a part of it. He highlighted that Rani Durgavati was born on Durga Ashtami, and, true to her name, she ruled over an empire of more than 23,000 villages with remarkable skill, valor, and bravery. Throughout her lifetime, she embodied the spirit of "Durga," fighting and winning 51 battles while also engaging in welfare work for her people. Tragically, in her 52nd battle, she was martyred while fighting Asaf Khan. Her sacrifice will forever be remembered and honored in the state.
