Hoshiarpur, Jan 17 (Reporter) Three policemen, including a woman from Punjab Armed Police (PAP) Jalandhar, died, and 13 sustained injuries when their bus carrying 30 policemen, collided with a stationary truck near Adda Aima early hours ago on Wednesday. According to the police report, ill-fated police bus, under the command of Inspector Tarlok Singh, was en route from PAP Jalandhar to Gurdaspur for Law-and-Order duty when it crashed into the parked truck around 7am due to low visibility caused by dense fog. Hoshiarpur SSP Surendra Lamba, stated that the poor visibility, attributed to dense fog, created challenging driving conditions. The deceased have been identified as bus driver S/Ct Gurpreet Singh, L/Ct Shalu Rana and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Hardev Singh. Their bodies have been placed in the mortuary of Mukerian Civil Hospital. Among the injured were admitted to Civil Hospital, Mukerian.
